Addis – Menagesha Suba forest – Addis
In the morning drive to the west of the capital some 55km, along the Jimma road. Then you will reach the crown forest called Menagesha Suba well protected by imperial decree since the reign of Emperor Zara Yakob in the 15th C and consisting substantial indigenous trees. Menagesha is good for hiking as of the mountainous area having the shape of an upside-down pudding basin. Walk around the forest and familiarize yourself with the variety of plants, animals and beautiful landscape. Frequently seen mammals are; endemic Menelik Bush Back, baboons and primates hanging on trees. This place is also interesting for bird watchers. Late in the afternoon drive back to Addis.
